Matthew Nihiser is a seasoned consulting and business operations leader with deep experience driving value creation, operational excellence, and M&A‑related initiatives across technology, energy, and industrial sectors.

 

Prior to joining TRC, he ran a solo practice where he led due diligence engagements, developed P&L and pro forma financial models, and advised small‑ to mid‑market firms on strategic operations, acquisition planning, and post‑merger integration. Matt also served as a Director at UKG, where he established a centralized consulting practice supporting the CTO and owned operational planning for a $140M technology portfolio, enterprise vendor and budget management, and cross‑functional technology rationalization efforts.

 

Earlier in his career, Matt held progressive consulting roles at UKG, Ultimate Software, and Noble Corporation, delivering measurable operational improvements, multimillion‑dollar cost savings, and large‑scale organizational transformation programs across global teams.

 

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, their three‑year‑old daughter, and their golden retriever, Ellie. He’s an avid golfer and snowboarder and loves watching college football in the fall and cheering on his Texas Longhorns.

 

He holds an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and a BBA in Marketing from the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University.
