Our leadership team has a proven track record of delivering strategies that drive top-tier results for our clients as consultants across a number of industries over the last 20 years. In addition, we all bring operating experience from different work and entrepreneurial experiences.

Tim is the founder of TRC Advisory, and serves as Managing Director responsible for leadership of key client engagements and all firm governance activities.

Tim started his consulting career when he joined Marakon in 1993, initially locating on the East Coast before transferring to the London office for just under 3 years.  He returned to North America to help found Marakon’s Chicago office in 1996, where he stayed until leaving to start TRC Advisory in 2014.  Tim has extensive experience working across a broad range of industries, with particular depth in Global Industrials, Retail and Consumer Products.  He has led engagements inside and outside of North America, including work in the UK, Continental Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Tim has advised clients on a range of issues including corporate strategy, growth, organizational redesign and commercial effectiveness.   Over the last several years he has invested significant time in the development of new techniques geared towards helping companies deliver sustainable, profitable growth amid the post-crisis demand reset.  In April of 2009 he co-wrote and published an article in the Harvard Business Review entitled Five Rules for Retailing in a Recession.

In 2012 Tim co-founded a biotech start-up, Cyteir Therapeutics, which is focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies for patients battling a range of cancers and autoimmune diseases.  In 2015 Tim led the close of its Series A investment round, subsequently taking a role on the Board of Directors and serving as a strategic advisor to the new management team.

When not serving clients or immersed in the biotech venture, Tim invests most of his time with his family (wife and two boys), with the occasional opportunity to get some exercise at the ice hockey rink, the ski hill or the golf course.  Tim grew up on the west side of Denver, CO, and holds a BS degree in Economics from The Wharton School of Business.
